How to make Pretzel Rolo Treats

Taking a break from Christmas treats that need to be cut out, baked, and decorated is how I make time to create Christmas memories with the kids. We make a few different Christmas “cookies” that don’t require sugar cookies, by making things like Pretzel Rolo Treats. These salty and sweet desserts are as easy as they are fun, and the kids can help without making a huge mess.

All you need is your favorite bite-size pretzels, a bag of Rolo candies, and whatever you want to top them with. I use M&M’s and pecans for ours. The pecan version is like a turtle pretzel candy and the M&M version is a fun festive style.

Pre-heat oven to 250 degrees

Place pretzels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. You can use the regular small pretzels or square-shaped ones. Place a single rolo chocolate caramel candy on top of the pretzel.

Place in the oven for 4-6 minutes

Immediately following pulling them out of the oven gently place an m&m or pecan in the center of the chocolate rolo. Gently push down on the m&m or pecan.

Let them cool on the parchment paper then pop them in your mouth for a yummy, delicious treat.

Now you know how to make one of the easiest Christmas treats and you can grab the ingredients and whip up a batch for your family. These are one of our favorites to share with friends and teachers in Christmas goodie bags.
