SHARK COOKIE
- YOU WILL NEED:
Cut-out sugar cookie dough
Royal icing
Icing colors – I use Americolor brand
CUTTERS: Strawberry cookie cutter by Sweet Sugarbelle
Cut the top (leaf) section of the strawberry before baking
TOOLS AND TIPS:
3 tips #2
3 couplers
6 icing bags (4 icing bags for piping and 2 bags for flooding)
Parchment paper
Cookie sheet
Toothpick or scribe
Rainbow Sprinkles
Paint brush
COLORS YOU WILL NEED:
White Icing – outline and flood
Red Icing – outline
Gray Icing – outline and flood
Black Icing – outline
SHARK COOKIE
BASE LAYER AND OUTLINE
Step 1: Using red piping icing and a paint brush pipe some icing in the middle of the cookie and spread with a paint brush. Outline the outer part of the cookie in gray.
FLOODING
Step 2: Fill the outer portion of the shark with gray flood icing. Start from the outside and work your way toward the middle of the cookie. Using white piped icing outline a mouth of the shark. Make shark teeth using white piping icing making a tear drop.
Stop and allow your cookie to dry in front of a fan for 1-2 hours before flooding the next section.
DETAILS
Step 3: Outline the middle section of the shark in white and flood with white flood icing.
