You can freeze undecorated and decorated cookies. Just follow these easy directions and your cookies will stay fresh and delicious as if you made them that day.
First, carefully place cooled cookies in an airtight container. I like to use a Rubbermaid container but a freezer ziplock bag also works well. Also, do not be afraid to stack your cookies.
When you are ready pull them out and let them come to room temperature (usually 6-8 hours). Once they have come to room temp open the airtight container and your cookies are soft and delicious like you made them that day.
How long will cookies last in the freezer?
Hi Leslie, cookies should last three months in the freezer.
Can you freeze the raw dough in a ball and pull it out to cook later?
Hi Ashley, Yes, you can! You just have to make sure it’s thawed enough that you can roll it out.
